- Is the residual income based on brokerage income or profit?
- What if there is no brokerage profit? (No profit. No residual income.)
- Is the residual income paid immediately or at the end of a year?
- Are there opportunities for residual income on the agents your sponsored agents sponsor? (Sometimes, residual income only goes one level deep.)
- What is the “vesting” period? (The vesting period is the time before one qualifies for a share of the distributions. This can be up to a year or two.)
- Is there a “cap” on brokerage income after which the agent is on a 100% basis and not contributing any income toward profit? (For instance, an agent might be on a 70/30 split until they deliver $18k in annual income to the brokerage. After that, the agent is on a 100% program and does not deliver income to the brokerage that contributes to profit for distribution to vested agents.)
How Does the Connect Realty Residual Income Model Compare?

- If there is no profit, as long as there is more than $300 commission on a deal, Connect Realty agents get paid.
- At Connect Realty, residual income is paid within 21 days of the closed transaction.
- Connect Realty agents earn residual income three levels deep, once they’ve met the recruiting guidelines.
- There is no vesting period for Connect Realty agents to qualify to receive residual income. Residual income is paid on the first transaction of the sponsored agent.
- At Connect Realty, there is no cap on agent income. If a Connect Realty sales associate recruits a top producer who closes more than a hundred transactions and makes more than a half million dollars, the sponsoring Connect Realty agent makes residual income based on all of the top producer’s transactions.
